A New quilt top

I've been working tons trying to get all the quilts ready for the show this summer in Sisters and it kind of feels like a marathon. But slowly and surely, I'm getting there. And, after a lot of difficult piecing, the "Path of the Seeker" quilt top is done. I haven't decided how to quilt it yet but at least the top is done. And I'm really pleased with it. I love how the transparency turned out. It helps to have such wonderful fabrics, all hand-dyed by Jeannette Viviano. Path%20of%20the%20Seeker%201.jpg

Aprons for Mother's Day

Here is a picture of these cute aprons I made for my mom and my mother in law for Mother's Day. I don't usually do anything except send a card but thought I would make something fun and easy. I had some leftover Amy Butler fabrics that worked perfectly, added some cute trims, and a scalloped hem. I think they're really cute! Mother%27s%20Day%20Aprons.jpg

fabric postcard

This is a picture of the fabric postcard I made for an auction that takes place this summer at "A Quilters Affair" in Sisters in July. The money goes to a camp for kids whose parents have cancer. So I started thinking about my bout with cancer and how I got through it. And I remembered biking to the hospital for my radiation treatments. All the techs thought I was nuts but it helped me feel healthy and alive even though I had this terrible sickness. So this is the postcard I made. It's painted with fused fabric and lots of stitching. postcard%20front%20%28for%20web%29.jpg
