MIA

It's been summer time and I've not kept up with the blog. OOPS. I've been busy training for a very special event but more about that in the next entry. First a little catch up. A week after Sisters ended, my husband Rick and I took off for Paris. We met our good friends Kristy and Bill and stayed in a lovely apartment in the Marais. What a wonderful week we had. We saw sights, great art, ate wonderful food and found amazing color and pattern all over the city. We also had a blast using the new free bike system that Paris has installed. Very fun. Here are some pictures from the trip and you can find even more at my husbands site. He is an amazing photographer who really captured the mood of the city. flickr Paris%2C%207%3A07%20-%2016.jpg Paris%2C%207%3A07%20-%2047.jpg Paris%2C%207%3A07%20-%2064.jpg Paris%2C%207%3A07%20-%2074.jpg Paris%2C%207%3A07%20-%2076.jpg Paris%2C%207%3A07%20-%2096.jpg Paris%2C%207%3A07%20-%20119.jpg Paris%2C%207%3A07%20-%20124.jpg

The Great Adventure

Well the adventure starts tomorrow and I'm so excited I can barely stand still. My friend Vivienne Moore and I are off to walk the first 100 miles of the Appalachian Trail. We will be starting at the southern terminus; Spring Mountain in Georgia. We have been hiking and backpacking since March to build up our strength and endurance. We can now walk 10 miles with 20 pounds on our backs and still function afterwards! Here are some pictures from previous hikes and overnights. I will post an update when we return at the end of September. Happy Trails. gorge%20walk%2C%205%3A07%20-%203.jpg first%20overnight%2C%207%3A07%20-%2015.jpg Angel%27s%20Rest%2C%208%3A07%20-%2015.jpg Eagle%20Creek%20trip%2C%208%3A07%20-%2013.jpg
