Last night I spoke to the Ladies of the Lake quilt guild in Longview, WA. I gave the slide show about the Importance of Value which is a subject dear to my heart. After the slide presentation, the guild had their business meeting followed by Show and Tell. This is always my favorite part of a guild meeting. I love that there are women all over the country making amazing quilts for their families and friends just because they love doing it. Quilting is such a wonderful tradition.
As it turned out, one of my former students from Sisters brought a completed quilt to share. The quilt is from my Encapsulated class which she took in 2007. It is always wonderful to see completed quilts from my classes. The quilt is by Alice Robertson and she did a wonderful job. You can’t see it really well in the picture but she quilted it with sashiko and it is very effective. Thanks Alice!
Thank you to the Ladies of the Lake and thank you Susan. I really enjoyed the evening.
