My First Sock

I finally gave in and started my first sock. Everyone else in my knit group loves knitting socks. For our Christmas party the last three years, we’ve had a sock yarn exchange so I own enough yarn to make three pairs of socks But I’ve resisted. I mean, you knit them on size 1 needles. How insane is that! But you know what, I’m LOVING it. I’ve made it this far:

Isn’t that awesome? I just love watching the stripes appear as you keep knitting. Vivienne showed me how to start the heel so I’m moving forward. I even went and bought another set of size 1 needles so I could do both socks at the same time. I’ll post a picture when they are done. It shouldn’t take too long because all I want to do is knit my socks.
