New Yarn Bin

When I was up in Bremerton, I bought this old yarn bin at the Saint Vincent DePaul thrift shop. I think I paid $5 for it. It reminds me of something your grandmother would have had.  As you can see, it had this really awful goldish, sixties fabric on it along with some incredibly tacky gold chains. In this picture, I had already taken off the gold chains. I wish you could have seen them because they were so bad.

I took all the fabric off and then used it as a pattern to make a new bin. The fabric is one of my favorites which I’ve also used on a new quilt. I am so pleased with how it turned out and it holds tons of yarn. I love great thrift store finds.

Hey! hey! What do you mean “like something your Grandmother would have had”. I used to have one these my very own self – brandnew, when I was in my twenties. That wasn’t very long ago at all :-)
I like the way you redid this. What are you planning on making with all that green yarn?
