Some Quilting

Earlier in the month, I did a lot of long-arming and I haven’t gotten around to posting pictures of everything so here are two more.

This is Dawn’s quilt. (sorry about the lousy picture) I put spirals in the center of the quilt and then a separate swirl pattern in the border. Normally I would have brought the spirals all the way to the edges of the quilt,  but Dawn put a tiny flange in the border seam and I didn’t want to quilt over that.

Here’s a close up. I really like the pattern in the border and will definitely use that more often. I think it’s got a nice rhythm. Dawn used the pattern Radiant Suns by Cara Gulati to create her quilt.

This is Joanne’s quilt. Joanne likes pretty minimal quilting so there are texture lines in the center and some swirls in the border.

Here is a close up of the snow on the mountains. Joanne used the book “Accidental Landscapes” by Karen Eckmeier to create her quilt.

    Hi Lee,
Great quilting on the Radiant Suns Quilt! If it’s possible, would you ask Dawn to drop me an email at cara@doodlepress.com? Her use of color and design with my pattern is fabulous, and I would love to ask her if I may post a picture of it on my web site. Thank you!

    Hi Lee,
Thanks for contacting Dawn for me. I have tried to answer her email three times, and it keeps bouncing because her server thinks it’s spam. Not sure what to do. Tell her that if she emails me her phone number, I would be happy to call her. And tell her there is no rush if she wants to finish it first. Thanks!
