Walnut Creek

I used to live in Walnut Creek, California before moving to Portland. I love Portland and would be perfectly content if I could just move my friend Kristy and her family up here to my neighborhood. They are the most wonderful friends and even though we manage to see each other 3 – 4 times a year, it is never enough. I just got back from 4 wonderful days at their house. The weather was magnificent, 4 days of sun and 70’s; it was blissful. 

Kristy has a beautiful yard with lots of flowers and fruit trees and vegetables and herbs.  

 I came home with a bagful of lemons from her trees and I think Rick and I will try to make lemon curd. 

We ate broccoli and lettuce right after picking it. Yum. 

This old rusty man watches over the garden and the quail. I wish I had gotten a picture of them but they are very skittish.
