Quilt

This quilt was made by my friend Tamara. It’s for her brother in law and is heading over to Italy soon. The quilt is huge so we only got a picture of half of it but I wanted to post it because it’s great. Tamara always does such a nice job with color. I can’t remember what the pattern is or what book it came from, only that Tamara said it was difficult to piece. Definitely a labor of love.

With her fabric choices, it reminds me of a persian carpet.

These pictures only show a shadow of the richness of this quilt. In real life it is breathtaking. If the recipients decide they don’t like it, I’d take it in a second!

Thank you, Anne. And you saw it BEFORE Lee added her beautiful quilting. This is a pattern called Spumoni Row (get it — Italian ice cream!) from a book by Trice Boerens called Curve Patch Quilts, just in case anyone insists on trying this at home.

Beau, j’aime les combinaisons de couleur, quel cadeau merveilleux.
