Larch Mountain

Yesterday Rick and I went to Larch Mountain. It’s a beautiful, winding drive, about 15 miles or so after you get off the highway. When you get to the parking lot at the end of the road, it’s a 1/4 mile walk to the top of the mountain. And boy are the views incredible. This is looking towards Mt. Hood.

Here is that handsome man of mine.

There were lots of bicyclists riding up the mountain as we drove up. There was a race going on and  I was amazed. 15 miles of relentless up hill. I mean, I love a tough hike but that sounds like torture to me.  Going down is probably fun, maybe that’s why they do it. There were some serious looking bikes and some amazing looking legs.

I need a nice cool mountain breeze about now, 110 degrees today. Who would have imagined?
