You would think from reading this blog that I haven’t been doing much sewing lately but you would be wrong. It’s just that we are nearing the holidays and everything I’m working on is a Christmas present for someone who usually reads this blog! There will be pictures after Christmas.
Other friends have been making some great stuff. At a recent knitting meeting, my friend Jennifer showed us all the clothes she is making for her grand daughters’ new American Girl doll. They are for Christmas but I’m more than sure her grand daughter is not reading my blog.
You can tell from the picture that when Jennifer decides to do something, she REALLY goes for it. For the jacket in the upper right, she bought a used jacket from the Habitat store and then cut it down to size. She also bought used slippers to make the little “Ugg” style boots.
I can’t wait to hear how that lucky girl reacted when she saw this wonderful wardrobe.
Oh, we had a wonderful chocolate cake that day to celebrate Jennifer and Susan’s birthday. Jeanne made it and it was soooooo yummy. Just thinking about it makes me salivate. I love my knit group.
